Triax X-110 Executioner

The X-110 Executioner is a Triax experiment in power armor. Though the X-10 Predator performs admirably in its primary role, Triax researchers thought that they could produce an even better air-superiority/assault suit. When the first X-110 prototypes were tested, they were found to perform considerably better than the Predator. However, NGR officials are wary about putting the X-110 into mass-production: the suit costs over twice as much to produce as an X-10 and the performance increase may not justify the expense.

One of the main advantages of the Executioner is the force field. Triax researchers are currently investigating the feasibility of producing a maintenence/field upgrade for the Predator which could include a force field generator. If the scientists are successful, it is very likely that the NGR will decline to adopt the Executioner. However, approximately two dozen prototype suits have been built, and are likely to stay in service since the troops like them.

Notes

Speed:

Running: 60 mph (96 kph) maximum.
Leaping: The powerful robot legs can leap up to 15 feet (4.6 m) high or across. Add 12 feet (3.65 m) with a running start. Jet thruster assisted leaps can hurl the unit up to 100 feet (30.3 m) high or 120 feet (36.5 m) across without actually attaining flight.
Flying: The rocket propulsion system enables the unit to hover stationary or fly. Maximum flying speed is 300 mph (480 kph), but cruising speed is considered to be 150 mph (240 kph). Maximum altitude is about 6,000 feet (1818 m).
Flying Range: The nuclear power supply gives the unit decades of life but the jet rockets get hot and need to cool after a maximum of ten hours of flight whenever traveling at speeds above cruising, and after twenty hours at cruising speed; can fly indefinitely with periodic rest stops.

Statistical Data:

Height: 10 feet (3.31 m)
Width: 4.5 feet (1.4 m); 12 feet (3.6 m) with wings extended.
Length: 4.5 feet (1.4 m)
Weight: 1300 lb (613 kg)
Physical Strength: Equal to a P.S. of 40
Cargo: Minimal storage space; storage for a handgun and survival kit.
Power System: Nuclear; average energy life is 20 years.
Black Market Cost: Unavailable. Only a few dozen suits have been manufactured and issued so far, and only to competent, loyal, top pilots. If a suit were to somehow become available on the Black Market, it would go for at least 20 million credits.

Weapons And Systems:

  1. Leg Mini-Missile Launchers (2): A mini-missile launcher, holding seven (7) mini-missiles, is mounted on the outside calf of each leg. This launcher is virtually identical to the one on the T-31 Super Trooper.
  2. Range: Varies with type. (Use new missile/bomb tables)
Damage: Varies with type. (Use new missile/bomb tables)
    Rate of Fire: 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Payload: 14 total, 7 per leg.

  3. Ion Blasters (2): Each forearm sports an ion blaster. This gun is designed to give the suit a backup weapon, or to be used as an extra punch. The weapons can be fired individually or simultaneously.
  4. Range: 2000 feet (606 m).
Damage: 4D6 (single) or 1D4x10+6 (simultaneous)
Rate of Fire: Single shot or simultaneous.
    Payload: Effectively Unlimited.

  5. Auto Grenade Launcher: On the left side of the neck collar is a grenade launcher. This is a short-range anti-personnel weapon that can fire explosive, plasma, smoke, or riot control grenades. It is very similar to the one on the VX-2010 Borg.
  6. Range: 300 feet (91.5 m).
Grenade Type and Damage: Varies; typically includes:
    fragmentation - 2D6 MD to a 20 foot (6 m) radius
    plama - 5D6 to a 12 foor (3.6 m) radius
    smoke - no damage, 20 foot (6 m) cloud
    riot control/tear gas/stun - See X-60 Flanker description.

    Rate of Fire:
    1, 2, or 3.
Payload: 48 total. Typically: 2 smoke, 4 tear gas, 10 fragmentation, and 32 plasma
  7. Vibro-Swords (2): Each arm conceals an extendable vibro-sword.
  8. Range: HtH range.
    Damage:
    2D6

  9. TX-250 Maxi-Rail Gun: This is the standard weapon for the X-110 Executioner. The rail-gun has multiple settings, allowing for great versatility.
  10. Range: 6000 feet (1828 m).
    Damage: 6D6 for a 30 round burst, 3D6 for a 15 round burst, 1D4 for a single round.
Rate of Fire: Equal to HtH attacks.
Payload: A standard clip holds 300 rounds. Each Executioner carries two extra clips, one in each leg.
Special Feature: The rail-gun has its own laser targeting and radar tracking system built into the weapon itself. Range: 6000 feet (1828 m). Bonuses: +1 to strike, +1 to parry and dodge.

  11. Force Field: A force field is integrated into the armor and can be activated on command.

    M.D.C.: 200
Regeneration: The field regenerates 1 M.D.C. per melee.

  12. Energy Rifles or Rail Guns and other hand-held weapons can be used in an emergency or used as a back-up weapon.

  13. Hand to Hand Combat:
  14. Restrained Punch: 1D6x10 SDC
