  • BtS was one of the original Palladium games set in an SDC setting.
  • Besides that, it was essentially the first Palladium game to truly be set in the modern world.
  • This [setting] lends BtS a certain status or prestige that other games can't match.

  • The modern setting makes it an easy game to play.
  • It [The setting] also allows more freedom for character types and makes it easier to play.
  • It is easy to get in to because it is what we can actually see as "real". Hey it can even be in my backyard!

  • The system is fairly simple
  • The concepts are very intriguing.
  • This game should appeal to any X-filer and I would suggest perhaps talking or dropping in on one of their sites (to open their eyes) as with any system i would like to have more info and options to play with.

    14.) Patrick Smith un708@freenet.victoria.bc.ca

  • I haven't played BtS yet, but from what i have been hearing it is one of Palladiums most interesting games.
  • i've been playing Rifts, Heroes Unlimited and TMNT for over a year now, and i prefer the older SDC system to the over-zealous MDC system.
  • i've been looking to purchase BtS, but i can't find it anywhere. I'd like to learn more about this game, and, if i like it as much as i think i will, i would purchase the sourcebooks.

  • BTs is a valuable addition to the Palladium Megaverse,
  • [and] possibly the second best game to be had in the system.
  • It is the original Pallaium horror RPG and should be respected, or at least used as a Nightbane sourcebook
  • The monsters and powers are cool.

    25.) Bill Williams/Johny Nekro JohnyNekro@aol.com
    (BTS Info)

  • I love Rifts and BtS is the past history of it.
  • I also love horror stories and movies, and this game is the best horror game out there.

  • [while] still having easy to work with rules.
  • the genre is fun and easy to work with,
  • [and] it can realy improve you all around as a roleplayer.

  • Well sometimes the present-day setting is the best time to hold some of the greatest conspiracy and monster RPG's.
  • Nightbane makes a good attempt at this, but this game is too much more like Rifts (don't get me wrong seeing as Rifts is my absolute favorite, but come on. I love chocolate, but I wouldn't try to live on it forever).
  • BTS is just so open and so accesible.
  • It has a much more frightening aspect because everything is out of the ordinary as opposed to Rifts where magic and high technology work side by side, or Palladium RPG where magic is more common than technology, or Heroes Unlimited where supernatural is all to common, or Ninjas and Superspies where too much supernatural is being left out.

    33.) Legate legate@futureone.com (BTS Info)

  • Its the best Modern Horror game outhere for normals.

    34.) Sailor Mercury slrmrcry_ami@hotmail.com

  • I like BTS because it's has a realistic flavor to it, like it could happen in real life, that makes it easier to roleplay.
  • Unlike RIFTS, BTS's characters are more realistic, where the heroes of the day and high school freshman. =)

  • I have played every palladium game at least once, but the only ones I own and still play regularly are BtS and TMNT, both of them are S.D.C. games and are the closest to being "realistic" in terms of pysics....errr mostly.
  • However, When I bought boxed nightmares years back it was a BtS supplement, is it really not considered one now?
